Back in 2010, this product represented a new approach to crushing garlic: the garlic is crushed between the Rocker and a chopping board using a simple rocking motion. After crushing, with the garlic inside the Rocker bowl, it’s then easy to transfer to the pan.

Now much copied, our design remains the original and the best. It’s straightforward to use and importantly, with conical crushing holes, it’s easy to clean. There are two version of the Rocker: a metal version and a plastic version. The metal version is robust, elegant and, usefully, can be used as a garlic soap (being made from stainless steel, the act of washing it under running water also deodorises users’ hands). The plastic Rocker is a more affordable version of the original. However, it still works in the same way: it’s simple to use, simple to clean and available in a range of colours. The metal version is on display in the Design Museum’s collection.
